Will HST Save Jobs

Seals recently closed down 2 call centers, one in Regina and one in Belleville and opted to hire call takers in the Philippines, leaving almost five hundred folk out of work.
Ontario Premier Dalton McGuinty has explained that the prerequisite of the Harmonized Sales Tax ( HST ) is to level the field with businesses. It appears that somehow they’re off balance in Ontario and by taxing its citizens to death, somehow it’ll save the big firms.
My question is : Will bringing this HST into effect bring back these lost jobs in Regina and Belleville?Will this unprecedented tax grab stop Canadian companies from doing business in India and the Philippines whilst kicking conscientious Canadians to the curb and forcing them out of work? Who has truly caused this ‘so called’ downside to business? I’m a born in Canada Canadian and I am mad as hell.

More Troops for Michael Sinnott

Police have employed more troops to surround the areas where abductors are said to be holding Fr. Michael Sinnott, who was abducted in Pagadian city last October eleven.
Allan June Molde, spokesman of Task Force Sinnott, expounded on Wed. that troops from Task Group Sinnott have been employed to patrol the seaside areas of the whole Zamboanga peninsula.
Molde related another company of the 9th Regional Mobile Group was also sent in the region to augment the troops from Task Group Sinnott.
Troops are also scouring the areas of Tungawan, Olutanga Island, and Payao in Zamboanga.
In Lanao del Norte, a company-size contingent from the 10th regional mobile group under Chief super Nicanor Bartolome was also employed to contain the area.
Senior super Francisco Cristobal, head of Task Group Zebra, said the troop deployment was already in’full operations for the law enforcement operations against the suspects.’
Police expounded Sinnott was believed to be held somewhere in the provinces of Lanao del Norte and Lanao del Sur.
Troops from the Armed Forces of the Philippines have similarly pre-positioned their troops in the 103rd and 104th Brigades in Lanao del Norte and Lanao del Sur respectively.
Earlier, Interior Secretary Ronnie Puno tagged rogue members of the Moro Islamic Liberation Front’s 113rd command as responsible for Sinnott’s kidnapping.
He claimed that the state would not be paying any ransom for Sinnott’s release.

Sony Ericsson has unveiled its first mobile phone built around Google’s Android operating system.
The Xperia X10 has an 8.1 megapixel camera, music player, fast web access, touch sensitive screen, GPS and can use apps from the Android Market or SonyEricsson’s Play Now Arena. Known as Rachel while under development, the X10is expected to go up for sale early in the first quarter of 2010. According to the company it is to be the first of a family of Android-based telephones that may launch across the year.
Sony Ericsson’s previous smart telephone, the X1 which ran on Microsoft’s Windows Mobile operating system, had disappointed many users particularly regarding its user interface. The X10′s control panel has been given an overhaul to help owners simply access social networking sites like Twitter, Facebook as well as email and other messaging applications.
The telephone can work with 2nd and 3rd generation mobile networks, including HSPA, as well as Wi-Fi. The X10 runs version 1.6 of Android and has a 1Ghz Snapdragon processor from US chip firm Qualcomm.
